Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception is an informal evening reception in the Restaurant at the Leonardo Royal Grand Harbour Hotel. All delegates are welcome to attend and enjoy drinks and snacks.
Attendance to the welcome reception is included in the registration fee.


Conference Dinner at The HMS Warrior
Wednesday 22nd June 2022 from 6.30pm-11.00pm
Guests will embark on a free flow tour of the ship before enjoying a drinks reception and hot fork buffet, with wine. Places can be booked when registering for the conference.

Institute of Sound and Vibration Research Tour
Tuesday 21st June 2022 from 3.30pm-6.00pm
Formed in 1963, the Institute is committed to improving our understanding of acoustics and vibration and their impact on the wellbeing of the community and the quality and performance of engineering products.
Based in The University of Southampton, the world-renowned ISVR has a comprehensive set of facilities. Subject to availability, the tour will include visits to the large anechoic chamber, the large reverberation chamber, the audio lab for a 3-D audio demonstration, an active noise control demonstration, ISVR’s 6-axis shaker and the A B Wood tank.


National Oceanography Centre Tour
Tuesday 21st June 2022 from 3.30pm-6.00pm
The tour of the NOC facilities will include an overview of the history of the site and the remit of the NOC and of the Royal Research ships operations, an opportunity to visit the British Ocean Sediment Core Research Facility (BOSCORF) and a chance to visit to some of the key areas of our Marine Robotics Innovation Centre. The facilities include state-of-the-art testing facilities including pressure vessels and environmental chambers are available to hire at the NOC. These facilities enable the testing of all types of marine autonomous vehicles and include two hyperbaric pressure-testing facilities, an immersion test tank and a 5m × 4m × 4m water depth test tank.
